Safety Shoes that pass the EX rating set by the The European Directive 1999/92/EC, known as ATEX directive, indicates the requirements to preserve safety and health of workers potentially at risk of explosive atmospheres. All our ESD footwear are designed to have a very low electrical resistance value. By using these footwear it is possible to minimise the risk that electrostatic discharges can cause fires or explosions.
This makes our ESD footwear recommendable in ATEX environments.
Disclaimer: This footwear is Electrical Hazard and tested in accordance with the test method as set out within ASTM F2412-24. This protection deteriorates rapidly in humid, damp and wet environments and with wear. Electrical Hazard (EH) Safety footwear is intended as secondary source protection equipment and not for live working.
